Mario Šavar was born on 6. 5. 1958. A.D. in Zagreb, where he had finished primary and secondary school. In 1983. A.D. he graduated The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb. In 1991. A.D. he accomplished postgraduate study, master of science degree with theses Simulation of Fluid Flow in Gas Networks After Pipe Rupture. In 1996 A.D. he defend his doctor of philosophy thesis Reducing of Numerical Diffusion in the Unsteady One-dimensional Fluid Flow Calculation.In 1983. A.D. he was employed by The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb as co-worker. In 1987. he was employed as assistant on Fluid Mechanic chair, in 2000. as assistant professor and form 2005. as associated professor
