CTT participation at the 9th Meeting of the Croatian Society of Mechanics (HDM)
On Friday, July 11th 2019, Centre of Technology Transfer participated at the 9th meeting of the Croatian Society of Mechanics (HDM), which took place at the Hotel Tomislavov dom in Zagreb. CTT has presented its role and presentation titled "Innovation and Technology Transfer as a Promoter of Growth for Enterprise Competitiveness".
Rimac Automobili delegation visited FSB
Rimac Automobili delegation visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of the University of Zagreb, elevating collaboration between the academic community and industry to a higher level. At the head of the delegation was Mate Rimac, who along with his team of engineers and head of departments visited 12 FSB's laboratories. With cooperation of this type, FSB ensures continuity in higher education and capability of tracking rapid technological development in the most demanding industries.
Nikola Tesla Annual Award awarded to FSB student Davor Širinić
On July 10th 2019, in the Esplanade Hotel, as part of the celebration of the 163th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla, "Nikola Tesla - Genius for the Future" annual award was awarded. In the category "Creative and innovative product inspired by the image and work of Nikola Tesla" DAVOR ŠIRINIĆ, student of Mechatronics and robotics was awarded for the "Bionic Hand" work.
At the ceremony, the award was taken over by the mentor of the work prof. dr. sc. Željko Šitum.
Croatian Section for Pressure Equipment meeting
On Wednesday, July 10th 2019, a meeting of the Croatian Department for Pressure Equipment at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture was held. The meeting discussed the inclusion of the Croatian Pressure Equipment Section in Croatia, an expert-scientific association for energy, mechanical engineering and renewable energy sources, the selection of the short section system, the section's work program and a review of the 16th Croatian Pressure Equipment Seminar.
First meeting of the FSB's Economic Council
On Friday, July 5th 2019, the first meeting of the FSB's Economic Council was held and it featured 28 reputable companies. The goals of establishing the Economic Council are to improve study programs, cooperation with the economy through scientific-research projects, lifelong education, and develop research infrastructure. All members of the Council commended this initiative and expressed their willingness to actively participate in further work as they see this as a mechanism for maintaining high quality of their own experts and staffs that the Faculty has been continuously producing for the labour market for a whole century.

Zoran Tomić, for his paper „Modeliranje mehaničkog ponašanja karotidne arterije višekomponentnim 3D ispisom“, Alan Milonja, for his paper „Utjecaj aditiva i ugljikovih nanocijevi na sposobnost ohlađivanja u sredstvu za gašenje“, Josip Brajković i Antonio Radenić, for their paper „Eksperimentalna analiza utjecaja odvajača ulja na radne parametre propanskog rashladnog uređaja“, Marko Horvatek, for his paper „Razvoj modularnog laserskog interferometra za mjerenje pomaka“, Petra Adamović, for her paper „Novi sustav zaključavanja za kutno stabilne pločice“ i Mateo Carević i Matija Pisk, for their paper ''Razvoj i implementacija inovativnog postupka inženjerstva površina za povećanje trajnosti nodularnog lijeva''.
Electric Formula of the FSB Racing Team soon enters testing phase
FSB racing team is a project by FSB students that is funded by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture and private companies from Croatia. Formula is currently in the final stages and will soon be ready for test driving. GlobalLogic Engineers will provide Croatian students with consultancy support for software design. Re:set party on the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture
FSB will host the first edition of Re:set party on Saturday, 01.06. starting at 16:00. Party will be held on the area in between the south and east faculty buildings. We invite you to join our students in order to connect and have fun with each other at the first party on the FSB area. Structural Integrity and Durability seminar
CTT and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture organized the seminar "Structural Integrity and Durability" on 7th of May. Workshop coordinator was prof. dr. sc. Željko Božić. Guest from Hungary, Dr. Laszlo Molnar also participated in the seminar and spoke about the Mechanical simulation overview in ANSYS world.
INOVA-MLADI exhibiton on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture
On May 4th, the largest exhibition of young innovators in Croatia was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. The aim of INOVA is to bring together middle school students, high school students and college students and give them the opportunity to present their innovations through this exhibition. This year's INOVA has marked a record number of 400 exhibited works. All the participants of the exhibition received acknowledgments and the best ones were awarded with numerous awards.
CTT takes part at B2B Matchmaking event in Venice
This year's B2B Matchmaking (Interreg Italy-Croatia) was held in Venice on March 11th. On the event, innovation opportunities in the blue economy were discussed and participants had the opportunity to present their company, where CTT also participated. Through speed networking we had the opportunity to hear interesting experiences and meet potential partners.

Visit from CTT of University of Rijeka
CTT was today visited by Sofija Tomić and Dr. Petra Karanikić, Head of the University of Rijeka's Technology Transfer Office. The University of Rijeka is implementing BEAT - Blue Enhancement Action for Technology Transfer project financed from the Interreg Italy-Croatia program. The aim of the project is to strengthen the innovation process and cooperation among SMEs, clusters, research centers and shipbuilding and maritime sector universities in Croatia and Italy.
Professor Jerbić on MrezaTV: Robotics, not as technology, but as culture
Prof. dr. sc. Bojan Jerbić was featured in the show "People That Make a Difference" on MrežaTV in which, among other things, he talked about the projects and innovations that his team devised and carried out at the Department of Robotics and Automation of Production Systems. He mentioned FSB projects NERO and CRTA, as well as the neurosurgical robot of 4th and 5th generation - RONNA, which is being developed together with Clinical Hospital Dubrava.
