- Introduction to current offshore structures and the environment in which they operate: structures for the exploitation of hydrocarbons and structures for the exploitation of renewable energy sources. Presentation of mathematical and numerical approaches intended for mooring system response calculation. The application of these approaches with comparison to model tests results. Presentation of specific problems of different types of offshore structures through their comparison with similar problems in ship design. The application of the basic knowledge for the needs of project development in the field of offshore technology.
- Student responsibilities:
- Attending to the lectures, adopted the program (project).
- Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
- Colloquium (or numerical exam) 40%, oral exam 30%, project 30%
