- The course focuses on the basics of the application of geoinformation systems in energy engineering, including the collection, processing and display of vector and raster data. Students will be given an overview of the basic principles and functionality of GIS tools and their application for energy planning, starting from modeling and presentation of energy demand densities and potential energy sources to supply planning.
- Student responsibilities:
- Attending classes and participating in assignments. Making seminars and project assignments. Applying GIS tools demonstrated during classes.
- Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
- Continuous work through the semester by making one seminar and one project assignment.
