Course objectives:
Understanding the concepts of work study and ergonomics. Introduction to the work time structure time and methods and techniques of measurement. Introduction to directives, standards and regulations related to the work and time study. Application of ergonomic principles and ergonomic methods in designing and analyzing of workplaces. Understanding of wellbeing and green ergonomics in the work environment.
Student responsibilities:
Regular class attendance. Seminar submission and presentation.
Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
Written and presented seminar paper 50 %. Two mid-term tests each 25% or written exam 50%.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):
1 . Identify the importance of work and time study and ergonomics in practice, science and in sociological development.
2 . Identify the work time structure.
3 . Apply the systems of predetermined times.
4 . Apply the ergonomic principles when designing a workplace
5 . Apply ergonomic methods when analyzing and designing the workplace.
6 . Apply computer programs related to work and time study and ergonomics.
