Course objectives:
Studying methods of investment evaluation in energy sector, methods for energy production cost calculation and energy pricing methodology and methods for building business models for companies
Student responsibilities:
Class attendance on the regular basis and doing seminar and project assignments.
Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
Continuous work through the semester by making seminars and project assignments.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):
1 . Assess the justification of investing in an energy project using the NPV and IRR methods
2 . Evaluate techno-economic parameters of different renewable energy sources
3 . Recommend technologies for renewable energy projects in accordance with project requirements
4 . Analyze and evaluate incentive systems for the production of heat and electricity from renewable energy sources
5 . Analyze energy processes from environmental protection point of view
6 . Build a company business model using the business canvas method
