Course objectives:
To introduce students to the basic knowledge about additive manufacturing.
Student responsibilities:
Attendance at classes and exercises and taking preliminary exams / exam.
Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
Mark of preliminary exam and final exam, as well as oral exam.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):
1 . Describe basic steps in additive manufacturing procedures
2 . Identify justification of additive manufacturing application in development and production
3 . Group the prototypes into basic classes
4 . Explain basic principles the most important additive manufacturing procedures and equipment for those procedures
5 . Recognise advantages and disadvantages of additive manufacturing procedures
6 . Select optimal additive manufacturing procedure and material for determined products classes
7 . Operate with at least one type of 3D printer in practical application
8 . Innovative and creative thinking about design for additive manufacturing without obstacles raised with traditional manufacturing
