- Sažetak
- The goal of the project is to investigate the possibilities of autonomous robotic drilling of artificial materials with the final application in the development of a smart mechatronic tool for drilling of the cranial bone. With the aim of an adequate strategy for controlling the robotic arm and selecting an ideal kinematic structure, an experimental laboratory set-up will be created on which the applicability of several types of medical and collaborative robots that have different: number of degrees of freedom, control strategies, different horizontal reaches and different nominal load capacity. The experiment plan will take into account all the above-mentioned features of an individual robotic arm and compare and validate them according to criteria such as: drilling force, drilling time, drilling accuracy, instrument positioning accuracy and other relevant clinical parameters. Based on experimentally collected data, an optimal concept of a robotic tool for autonomous drilling will be investigated. The tool for autonomous drilling will be designed as a smart device with a series of sensors that enable communication and control with the robot that performs all the actions defined in the plan of operation that can be dynamically loaded into the smart tool. At the end of the project, the integration of all research results will be carried out with the aim of applying newly acquired knowledge and understanding in a simulated environment for autonomous robotic drilling of artificial cranial bone.
