Course objectives:
METHODS AND EQUIPMENT FOR MOULDING PROCESS
Student responsibilities:

After successfully mastering the course students will be able to: - Select aggregate (molding sand) and binders sand molds and cores according to casting process - Explain machinery for sand molds and cores - Explain permanent mold casting methods and machinery - Explain permanent mold (die) production - Calculate a gating and risering system - Manufacture both soft and hard casting mold with core - Describe casting process simulation possibilities - Set the parameters for castings" filling and solidification simulation software
