On Thursday, November 14th 2019, the Projects Day and Match-Making was organized by the FSB and CTT. A number of businessmen and FSB researchers participated in the event. Through the lectures, the businessmen had the opportunity to hear more about the EU projects being carried out at the faculty, and during the match-making they exchanged ideas with the researchers who can contribute by solving specific engineering problems through joint projects.
On Wednesday, October 30th 2019, the Invest smart - Boost Innovation in Croatia conference was held at the Westin Hotel. The conference featured thematic presentations - Encouraging Innovation to Succeed. The presentations featured numerous innovations in the fields of medicine and robotics and the practices of other countries, such as Israel, on the role of government in the development of innovation. Also, we had the opportunity to attend B2B Matchmaking meetings.
Prof. dr. sc. Bojan Jerbić from the Department of Robotics and Automation of Production Systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in Zagreb gave an interview to HAMAG-BICRO. The professor spoke about the RONNA and NERO projects, robotics in medicine and incentives that helped them in realization of the projects. See the entire interview on the YouTube channel.
CTT and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture organized a seminar on Hydrogen and Fuel Cells which was held on September 17th. Seminar coordinator was dr. sc. Ankica Kovač. The seminar was also attended by Toyota Croatia CEO Krešimir Bago who spoke about hydrogen technologies in transportation. The seminar also presented the Croatia Mirai Challenge and the Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Car.
On Monday, September 16th 2019, Croatia Mirai Challenge Conference was held at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. The conference featured the introduction of a multi-production hydrogen car (Toyota Mirai) currently traveling across European countries where hydrogen filling stations are installed. The car left Zagreb and the journey ends in Brussels. Panel members of the conference were doc. dr. sc. Ankica Kovač, Director of Toyota Croatia Krešimir Bago, Head of city department for Economy, Energy and Environmental Protection Mirka Jozić and dr. sc. Zvonimir Guzović. Hydrogen vehicles and their future in Croatia were discussed on the conference.
On July 10th 2019, in the Esplanade Hotel, as part of the celebration of the 163th anniversary of the birth of Nikola Tesla, "Nikola Tesla - Genius for the Future" annual award was awarded. In the category "Creative and innovative product inspired by the image and work of Nikola Tesla" DAVOR ŠIRINIĆ, student of Mechatronics and robotics was awarded for the "Bionic Hand" work.
At the ceremony, the award was taken over by the mentor of the work prof. dr. sc. Željko Šitum.
