Development of complex mathematical models for describing plastification and fracture processes in structures. Development of adequate numerical algorithms for solving complex non-linear mathematical models. Numerical modelling of elastic-plastic deformation processes. Development of effective algorithms for the analysis of a structure with cracks. Experimental and numerical investigation of some fracture mechanics parameters such as stress intensity factor K, crack tip opening displacement CTOD and J-integral. Finally, the reliability and safety of the structure with cracks, its remaining life and service life, i.e. the number of cycles the structure can bear before fracture are investigated.
