Course objectives:
Production function, development of operations strategy, production types, project management by computer, optimization methods in production
Student responsibilities:
Grading and evaluation of student work over the course of instruction and at a final exam:
Test 1 30%, Test 2 30% or final exam 60% Homeworks 10% Seminar 20 % Oral exam 10%
Methods of monitoring quality that ensure acquisition of exit competences:
Knowledge verification by 2 tests. Continuous monitoring of participation in class and through homeworks.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to (learning outcomes):
Define the concept of production management - Calculate the single factor productivity and total factor productivity - Basic knowledge and concepts of production planning - Apply knowledge of a process approach to production - Apply knowledge of lean and green manufacturing - Apply the methods of managing complex projects - Use Gantt Charts on the problems of planning - Apply the network planning techniques - Explain and apply models of inventory management
