Hydrogen charging station

Project knowledge transfers to the economy are the main activity of CTT. As a supporting institution for FSB's developmental innovation activity, CTT works to bring scientific findings, ideas and inventions "from the laboratory" to the market. This activity is implemented in all forms of technology transfer that are appropriate for the results of the project activities: by providing support in the protection of intellectual property, pre-commercialization of intellectual property, licensing of intellectual property and through companies based on research results. Commercialization of research results through licensing and spin-off and start-up companies is the essence of a socially desirable and ethically acceptable academic enterprise.

CTT has, since its beging, completed dozens of technology transfer and innovation commercialization projects. It is not only focused on the transfer of FSB knowledge to the economy, but is strongly integrated into the entire scientific community and provides technology transfer services to many colleges and scientific institutes.

CTT is also active in R&D projects aimed at building its capacity and creating synergies with other complementary organizations to more effectively implement the collaboration of the research community and industry, of which we highlight:

Within the CARDS program, the project Intellectual Property Rights Infrastructure for the Research and Development Sector in Croatia was implemented. The TEMPUS program, funded the Advanced Ship Design for Pollution Prevention project. In cooperation with the Zagreb County, CTT, with the funding of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region, implemented the Sava Region Initiative for Innovative Development (SRIID) project. The LIFE project of the New Pet Collecting and Recycling Scheme in Croatia has resulted in the establishment of a spin off company for the disposal of PET packaging. In addition to many other collaborative R&D projects with small and medium-sized enterprises (IRCRO and TEHCRO funds), CTT has also developed its own charging station for electric vehicles, with funding from the Environmental and Energy Efficiency Fund.

CTT demonstrates its close collaboration with the local community through participation in various projects of public interest. An example of such a project is the establishment of an incubation and entrepreneurial center in Samobor, Mali Tehnopolis Samobor, which was funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

Furthermore, many large national projects have been implemented, such as projects Korištenje biomase u kogeneracijskim procesima – Preporuke za najbolju praksu u drvnoj industriji i šumarstvu for Ministry of the Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Croatia, and Analiza tehnologija za energetsku oporabu komunalnog otpada for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction of the Republic of Croatia.

Our big projects of cooperation with the economy were Izrada elaborata cjelokupne tehničke i tehnološke analize, s prijedlozima za optimalno reprojektiranje glavnih i pomoćnih pogona rafinerije nafte u Sisku for INA d.d.; Projekt SIGMA – Razvoj strategija za unaprjeđenje kvalitete i proizvodnje u Končar elektroindustriji; then many shipyard cooperation projects, such as structural analyzes, calculations and FEM strength, vibration and noise analyzes, and multi-year projects, such as Structural Analysis of Marine and Naval Structures for Bureau Veritas, France.

CTT offers project writing support and administrative project management for projects which are funded by various international funds.
