Application procedure
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
Students apply through official student exchange programmes (Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, University of Zagreb Bilateral agreements, CEEPUS etc.) through the University of Zagreb IRO office , at least one week prior to the application deadlines.
Nomination documents for students who apply as Freemovers or coming within FSB's bilateral agreements (São Carlos School of Engineering - University of São Paulo, Brasil) should be sent directly to FSB via e-mail address mobilnost@fsb.hr at least one week prior to the application deadlines.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR INCOMING STUDENTS

- Curriculum Vitae
- Nomination letter
- Learning Agreement (signed by the student and home institution)
- Official Grade Transcript
- Certificate of Enrolment
- Housing request form (if applicable)
- Copy (scan) of the passport /ID
- English language proficiency – minimum required proficiency on the Common European Reference for languages is B
BEFORE ARRIVING TO FSB the student sends the Learning Agreement to mobilnost@fsb.hr. In accordance with professors ECTS coordinators check whether student has all the necessary prerequisites for attending the chosen courses. After preliminary check, ECTS coordinator signs the Learning Agreement and sends it to the sending institution. Additionally, upon its arrival to FSB a student needs to fill the excel table COURSES Incoming mobility and send it to mobilnost@fsb.hr in order to ensure faster enrollment to FSB.
Application deadlines:
- 10th of May for the winter semester
- 10th of November for the summer semester
POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS
After sending the formal application to the University of Zagreb, a foreign postgraduate student should write down the application to the Postgraduate Study Committee of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in which he/she describes the research area and activities that will be performed on our institution. Application should be signed by the applicant and sent to doktorski@fsb.hr.
The candidate should bear in mind when asking the Certificate of Acceptance from one of our professors it needs to be signed both by the professor and the FSB Dean.
Further to that, the Postgraduate Study Committee will consider the request and in the case of approval, the student is assigned a mentor or study advisor for the duration of mobility.
Department for Projects and Mobility will inform the student directly about the acceptance results.
